Now download NCERT books in PDF form

  11. Apr 2010 by Soan

National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), the autonomous organization to design school academic program and curriculum in India, has come up with this great idea of sharing PDF version of all the textbooks published by it!

NCERT textbooks are followed by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and various other educational boards in India.

Anyone can read these textbooks available online on NCERT’s website, and download them in PDF format to read offline.

To read or download NCERT textbook, visit this link:http://www.ncert.nic.in/textbooks/testing/Index.htm

UPDATE: The above link of NCERT site for books download does not work now. They have discontinued it. We had downloaded some books when they were available on NCERT site and we are slowly uploading them here at our site link for your download .

All books of class I to XII are available in pdf format for reading online and download.

Mathematics Part-1 for class XII.

Clicking on the book opens up the book;s index:

Click on any chapter name to open up the respective chapter:

To download the currently opened chapter, just click on 'Save as' on the top left corner of pdf reader. The system will prompt you to save the file on your local system.

And yes, you may be thinking if there is any way to download the whole book or all books together. But sorry, it is not yet possible or I could not find such option after digging through the NCERT website. If you are able to find the way, do please share here for other's benefit.

Users need a desktop based PDF reader (like Adobe Reader) to read books after download.
