The main point which they have made is that Managers at Google does not interfere with Technical team's work. I believe this is precisely what sets Google apart from other companies.

And this is also different from what happens in Indian IT companies where your manager is literally supposed to be your God. I mean no offences to anyone but i have spent good amount of time working with a top Indian IT company and have seen 'n' number of managers. They don't even know what is management, leave aside the technical knowledge!!
