Google Analytics: J&K and Arunachal Pradesh Are Not Part Of India

  28. May 2011 by Soan

Google Analytics In a surprising fact, I just noticed that Jammu & Kashmir along with Arunachal Pradesh are not considered part of India by Google Analytics maps. i.e. they are believed to be disputed territories. Jammu & Kashmir claimed by pakistan and Arunachal pradesh claimed by China. Google Analytics is a service by Google to track website visitors data of a particular website.

I was going through the details of visitors that have visited this website and noticed this part and found it really dis-heartening. Jammu and kasmir are not part of India

Jammu and kasmir are not part of India

This is really weird on part of Google. Wikipedia on the other hand counts these states as part of India only.

According to government of India's official website, these two states form an integral part of India. India's central government off course allocates budget for these states as part of annual budget too. They are governed by Indian constitution laws.

People living in Jammu & Kashmir are issued passports from Government of India and they are recognized as 'Republic Of India' citizens all over the world for travelling. Then how come the international community thinks and feel that it is a disputed territory? Some of maps also some J&K as part of Pakistan. Sounds funny but its true that Google Maps also believes the same!!
