Hi!
If salary is 2,40,000 per year. and its comes out to be 1,66,000 after deducing exemptions which is < 1,80,000 (tax exemption limit)
So is it necessary for employer to issue FORM16 in this case?

yes, I think issuing a form 16 is required.
But you may like to confirm it from a practising chartered accountant.
