Can a company provides Conveyance and Medical allowance less than 800 and 1250 respectively, Example

Conveyance Allowance:600
Medical allowance: 1000

Is there any problem in this?

yes, A company can provide any amount that they wish. Does not matter if it is less than or greater than the tax exempted amount.

If it is LESS than 800 or 1250 (conveyance and medical respectively), then you would get less tax benefit.

If it is GREATER than 800 or 1250 (conveyance and medical respectively), then you CAN ONLY get tax benefit upto 800 or 1250.
